In the all too likely event that 2015’s ‘Pitch Black’ and ‘Benjiminz’ left you yearning for more, your wait is finally over. Genre-bending rapper Rome Fortune and Toro Y Moi have reconnected to release a new collaborative EP, Toro Y Rome Vol. 1 which is available to stream in full below.
The project was unveiled on Twitter by Fortune in celebration of Fourth of July alongside a brief synopsis: “5 brand spankin new tracks 4 ya cookout”.
Toro Y Rome Vol. 1 was preceded by ‘Hoodrich Disco’, a squelching funk and house-inflected Summer jam which originally appeared to be a loosie extracted from the vaults, however now features as the closing track on the pair’s newest body of work.
