Watch Wu-Tang’s GZA perform for NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series

Featuring three Liquids Swords cuts and accompaniment from an eight-piece horn section.

Seminal emcee and Wu-Tang Clan member GZA is the latest musician to receive NPR’s Tiny Desk treatment. The Genius stopped by the organisation’s Washington, DC headquarters in good company to perform three cuts from his timeless 1995 solo album Liquid Swords.

Joined by The Soul Rebels, an eight-piece New Orleans brass ensemble, GZA’s set list featured renditions of ‘Living In The World Today’, ‘Duel Of The Iron Mic’, ‘Liquid Swords’ and a story detailing the writing process of the latter track.
