Following last night’s Met Gala, Mac DeMarco shared new music through his YouTube account. The two featured tracks – ‘She’s My Sweet’ and ‘Fuck The Toronto Raptors’ – are credited to a new band aptly named Met Gala.
Both songs are laden with heavily effected vocals and feature R&B inflected instrumentation, not dissimilar to that of DeMarco collaborator Peter Sagar, better known as Homeshake. Met Gala’s personnel includes both DeMarco and Sagar as well as DIIV keyboardist Colin Caulfield, Greg Napier, Caila Thompson of Mozart’s Sister and DeMarco live keyboardist Alec Meen.
