This week Blood Orange – otherwise known as Dev Hynes, Lightspeed Champion or the fuchsia pink Squier wielding member of Test Icicles – teased new music via Instagram, sharing that he has a mixtape, album, and 8 singles ready for release. Hynes previously revealed in the final months of 2017 that he had begun work on his fourth LP.
Over the course of the live streamed Instagram broadcast, Hynes shared several clips of new material. A Redditor has since noted that one song featured vocals that seemed to be those of Solange Knowles.
In addition to giving an insight to fans of what should be expected of his new album, Hynes also revealed plans to tour internationally throughout 2018, then sharing a string of confirmed American dates via Twitter and Instagram which are available to view below.
The singer-songwriter proceeded to promise that more Blood Orange shows will be announced soon, saying:
“I’M IN A PLAYING SHOWS MOOD FOR THE FIRST TIME IN YEARS G. GONNA PLAY ACROSS U.S, EUROPE, ASIA, AFRICA I’M WITH THE SHITS.”
Tickets for all North American tour dates go live on Friday 27th April.
