Flower of the Universe is taken from the A Wrinkle in Time soundtrack.
Following director Ava DuVernay‘s announcement last month, Sade’s contribution to the soundtrack of A Wrinkle In Time has been unveiled. Entitled ‘Flower of the Universe’, the texturally sparse ballad was shared via the singer’s YouTube account on Tuesday evening.
“I never thought she’d say yes, but asked anyway,” DuVernay said of the collaboration with Adu on Twitter. She continued, “She was kind + giving. A goddess. We began a journey together that I’ll never forget.”

‘Flower of the Universe’ is the first new music in seven years from the British musician. Prior to the single, her last release with her eponymous band was a compilation of bonus cuts in 2011 which followed 2010’s Soldier Of Love.
