Joining the previously announced And So I Watch You From Afar and Giraffes? Giraffes!
ArcTanGent took to social media this morning to share seventeen new additions to the 2018 iteration of their annual festival held in the outskirts of Bristol.
Headlining a now objectively unmissable lineup are post-hardcore legends Glassjaw who recently released their first studio album since 2003’s Worship and Tribute and Steve Albini led noise rock stalwarts Shellac.
Also new to the lineup are Pelican, La Dispute, Arcane Roots, Alcest, Zeal &Ardor, Black Peaks, VENNART, Delta Sleep, Telepathy, People Like Milk Products (Memory of Elephants & Chiyoda Ku Big Band), Scalping, Wren, Jo Quail, VLMV and Vasquez.
The new additions join the previously announced And So I Watch You From Afar, Giraffes? Giraffes!, Pianos Become The Teeth, Rolo Tomassi, Bossk and Tangled Hair amongst others.
The festival will be the first time that Massachusetts based math rock pioneers Giraffes? Giraffes! bring their music to European soil. Guitarist Joseph Andreoli said “we are totally ecstatic about coming over to the UK for the very first time and especially to be playing at ArcTanGent. It’s one of the raddest festivals out there.”
In past lineups the festival has played host to the likes of The Dillinger Escape Plan, LITE, Russian Circles and 65daysofstatic.
Of the festival’s recent announcement, organiser James Scarlett said the following:
“This feels like the biggest and best announcement we’ve ever done at ATG. Having Glassjaw and Shellac as main stage headliners will be amazing, but personally I’m also very excited about Pelican’s first visit to Fernhill Farm – it’s certainly long overdue. I’d really urge people to check out our Spotify playlist (below). We put a huge amount of effort into curating a line up that has strength in depth from the top to the bottom – so go check out Telepathy. Check out Scalping. Check out Zeal & Ardor if you don’t know them. Check out them all!”
