There’s something entheogenic in West Yorkshire’s water supply.
GRDNS are one of the latest bands to emerge from the music scene of Bradford, West Yorkshire. Their sound, in stark contrast to the city that they call home, evokes imagery of LSD-nourished Summers in San Francisco through jangly guitars and reverb laden vocals.
The band have recently joined the roster of Leeds based indie label Dance To The Radio, accompanying the likes of The Pigeon Detectives and fellow Bradfordians Fling. Previously the label has been home to iForward, Russia!, Grammatics, This Et Al and I Like Trains to name but a few.
GRDNS will release an EP through the label in 2018, which DIY noted will be “inspired by classic psych sounds of the 60s and aim to juxtapose them with something modern, creating a meandering flow with a relentless drive, an urban kick with a touch of class, hard as the deserts rocks in the damp of an English forest and so on…”
Preceding the forthcoming EP is ‘Night Dance’, which serves as the perfect opportunity for listeners to tip their toes in to GRDNS’ pool of West Coast inspired neo-psychedelia. Listen below.
