Clinton’s cosmic troupe perform classics from the discographies of Parliament and Funkadelic.
On Wednesday NPR shared a recent performance from their Tiny Desk series that featured George Clinton of Parliament/Funkadelic fame.
Appearing with a smaller incarnation than in most regular shows – though still qualifying as one of the largest ensembles to grace the NPR office – the band dubbed in this instance as “The P-funk Allstars” included long-time players Blackbyrd McKnight and Lige Curry on guitar and bass duties respectively, Clinton’s grandchildren on backing vocals et al.
