Nervous Conditions share eruptive debut single The President

Imagine any band from the early days of CBGB jamming to records by Naked City, The Arkestra and Pere Ubu. Got it? With that image in mind you may find yourself somewhere close to the realm of Nervous Conditions.

The Cambridge based octet (Yep. You read correctly, that’s eight members) have spent two years cutting their teeth in England’s live music scene, commanding audiences to pay attention to their cacophony of sound and firmly establishing themselves as one of the country’s most exhilarating live bands en route. Sonically they employ saxophone, strings, synths, guitar, bass, two drum kits and one snarling vocalist. The end product is one that barrages the confinements of any given genre in a way that comparatively, the likes of Fat White Family have only prodded at previously.

New track ‘The President’ is an adrenaline-inducing glimpse of the feral, skronk driven and unpredictable sound that Nervous Conditions exude live. Vocals jump between ominous croons and harsh screeches, a bassline drones alongside a hypnotic guitar motif, drums erupt, a Korg MS20 abuses its filters and a saxophone occupies every inch of empty space that it can squeeze itself in to. Find out why all eyes are going to be on this band in 2018 below. The proof is in the pudding.
