Kali Uchis is set for a fruitful year in 2018. The Colombian-American singer is currently preparing for the release of her long-awaited debut album Fool’s Paradise and a tour alongside Lana Del Rey in the United States, both of which are fresh off the heels of two Grammy nominations.
Today, a new single has been shared from her aforementioned debut. The track, entitled ‘After The Storm’ features appearances by P-funk legend Bootsy Collins and long-time collaborator Tyler, The Creator, whilst every hip-hop artist’s go-to live band BadBadNotGood assumed responsibility for production duties. As one can imagine, the end product is smoother than butter.

Speaking on the lyrics behind the single, Kali said
“We can find solace in the fact that we have to go through the bad stuff to truly get to the good. Just because you’re losing at the moment doesn’t mean you’ve lost yet. The storm may be scary now but it’s how your flowers bloom later, and paradise is just beyond the rainbow.“
